Megan and Conor envisioned a classy, understated, wedding with unique elements that really spoke to them as a couple. Their Big Day included a kilt wearing groom, string quartet, old fashioned and modern style attire selections, and an eclectic guest list with music to match!
What started out as a rainy stormy day, turned into a gorgeous sunny day just in the nick of time for these two amazing love birds. From the moment we met them, we knew they were loving, caring, kind hearted, and completely deserving of the wedding they had always dreamed of.
Makray Memorial Golf Club in Barrington, Illinois was the perfect setting for the ceremony on the 10th tee – pond-side! Not only was there a string quartet to welcome guests and play in the processional, there was also a Bag Piper to lead in the bride to be. It was flawless!
Once the I-do’s were said it was time to celebrate and enjoy an exquisite meal prepared on-site, followed by stunning cupcakes provided by Lovin’ Oven.
It was then time for the couple to have their first dance to “You and Me” by Lifehouse. When asked the sentiment behind the selection, Megan stated, “It always seems to be Conor and me on our own path. We travel against the crowd. He’s the water to my fire.”
When asked if they had any advice for anyone who is beginning their wedding planning process they said: “Take each part of the process one step at a time. Hire planners if you can! Your love ones are happy to help, don’t be afraid to ask. Take some time to enjoy the process – it happens once in a lifetime!”
