Happy Monday everyone!
We hope you all had a great weekend. Events by L had a productive one and we are so happy to have been a part of a wonderful organization called Brides Against Breast Cancer to wrap it all up.
If you are unfamiliar with them they contribute to programs for cancer patients, their families, and caregivers. They hold a Nationwide Tour of Gowns bridal shows around the country in efforts to raise money helping people impacted by cancer with the resources and information needed in their battle with the “Big C”. This weekend the tour landed in Lombard, Illinois where they hosted a fabulous event at Jasmine. They kicked off the weekend on Saturday with a VIP Girls Night Out. Brides and guests received mocktails, wine tasting, light bites, updos, bridal makeup, mini massages, and more. They also got an exclusive first look in the market to view and purchase hundreds of beautiful Jasmine Wedding gowns and bridal accessories at a huge discount!
Sunday was an extension of the fun and we were so happy to be a part of it! It was an amazing experience helping these wonderful brides who have all been impacted in one way or another by cancer as they are embarking in this new journey of marriage. It is an amazing feeling to experience helping someone find the dress that not only are they starting a new chapter in their lives in, but makes them look and feel as beautiful as they are – inside and out!! There were definitely MANY happy tears shed! 
All of the volunteers who willingly came together to help these women find the dress that suited them the best did a great job and were so helpful to one another. The brides were all as sweet as could be and were so excited for this wonderful day, as were we! It was so fun to see so many ‘Say YES to the dress’ and they all looked stunning!!!!
Events by L is excited to participate in future events. It is a great opportunity for us to give back. The tour travels city to city, so head on over to their website and see when they will be at a city near you so you can get in on the organizations efforts.
There are many ways you can help in addition to volunteering. If you are short on time, they do accept monetary donations, used bridal gown donations, and you can even host an event!

I volunteer do to this event everytime they come into town. Such a rewarding way to spend the day.
It is always such a wonderful feeling and experience to give of your time and talents to worthwhile organizations. I was very involved with the Wish Upon a Wedding – Houston Chapter, and the feeling I got from seeing the brides smiling face was awesome.
