Open up a separate checking account to keep track of your funds.
This will help you stay organized throughout the wedding planning process and you will know where you are at in your budget at all times. If you really want to stay on budget start the account with less money than your top dollar budget. This way when you want to start upgrading to premium linens, or adding on appetizers you can quickly access your wedding or event account and know where you stand.
Here’s a simple tip for our brides trying to get those lbs. off before the big day!
Nutritionists like to advise people to create a food journal or diary and track everything consumed for the day. If you think back to grade school or high school even, you may have had assignments that incorporated the same elements of tracking what you ate for a period of time, I know I did, a few times. The results were always consistent. FAIL!
I was never able to keep track of each item I had eaten and would end up creating false items to accommodate the ones I had forgotten. We are far to busy to keep track of everything we consume therefore creating a daily journal of the foods you consume only lead to flawed results due to inaccuracies. This idea makes far more sense to me.
We can’t believe how quickly this week has gone past. We are so lucky to work in an industry we love and are fortunate to get enjoyment out of the work we do. This week we got to spend some time at The beautiful Shores of Turtle Creek in Spring Grove, Il. We had a blast and our creative juices were flowing. We designed some gorgeous tablescapes and centerpieces for upcoming events and we are so excited!
We got to walk around this gorgeous venue and enjoy some (not all unfortunately), of the gardens. They are just magnificent and was a great way to start the morning. Here are a few pictures for you to enjoy as well.
From left to right:
The Robert R. McCormick Museum, The Exedra which is Robert’s grave site in classical Greek and Roman architecture, and finally gorgeous stair cases coming down a beautiful hill that lead to a magnificant fountain.
