Today, we are sharing a behind the scenes look at Renee and Justin’s 1940’s dinner theatre and Smashing Pumpkin-inspired Wedding Day that took place in Wilmette, Illinois.
Renee and Justin are truly a one-of-a-kind couple and we had so much fun working with them and creating the day of their dreams!
Here comes DJ Dan with IWed Solutions, ready to rock the house and get the party started. We always look forward to working with our talented friendors, and when IWed Solutions is on site, you know that your guests are in store for a fun night ahead.
A little behind the scenes look at the girls getting primped and prepped for the big day ahead. The bridal party hair was done by Brittney with Blondie Hair Artistry, who can make your hair look like a million bucks in literally no time at all! Bomber Betty worked their makeup magic on our gals. The entire bridal party looked flawless all night!
Here’s Nina, our Junior Bridesmaid all glammed up and looking gorgeous. Notice those-to-die-for bouquets via Kimberose in her hands. Oh my! We can NOT wait to show you the stunning arrangements that Kim designed for this wedding!
Can you get over Nathan and Nolan aka the Junior Attendants? They are just too darn cute and twins to boot!
There’s our VIB, Renee looking exquisite while she waits for the first look to happen. Those windows were magnificent behind her, and overlooked Lake Michigan.
There she goes, eyes closed, ready to meet her very soon-to-be husband for his first look at her in all her beauty. Isn’t her dress amazing??
See, there is that amazing window that Renee was sitting in front of. Look at all of those windows, and see the fire-place too! It was lit during the intimate, evening ceremony. Talk about romantic!
As you know, we L’s are all about the details and we just had to show you the intricacies in this ceiling. Another thing we are obsessed with are chandeliers and there was an abundance for us to swoon over here. Absolutely brilliant!
Here is a true behind the scenes look at the pre-wedding prep that goes on. There’s Laurie (one of the L’s) and Kevin, the Officiant going over some final details and prepping. Do you spot the photographer on the ground? Man down! That’s the incredibly talented Michael Novo making sure everything is set perfectly and ready to capture the upcoming events for Renee and Justin. His work is amaaaaazing!
Mmm…look at the amazing cupcake wedding cake made by none other than the amazing Keira Confections.
The cake topper was so fitting for the theme and this great couple! It was covered in glitter as were their delicious cupcakes. It was verrrrry difficult to refrain from sampling one or a dozen of these tempting cupcakes, but luckily, we were way too busy to get a chance. 🙂
A little behind the scenes glimpse of the set-up coming together.
Ceremony time! Enjoy the sneak peek of Videographer Sean Loftus‘ arm in there also. (There is a reason you leave all photo and video to the Pros!)
After the ceremony, everyone enjoyed some lovely hor d’oeuvres and the cocktail hour. Renee decided to give her feet a rest and, of course, we were there to give some assistance getting those adorable shoes back on so she was ready for the grand entrance, and her first dance as the new Mrs. Kelly!
DJ Dan and Kimberose have set the stage, pun intended, and we are ready for the 40’s-esque dinner theatre to begin!
There were several live musical performances throughout the evening. All compliments of the bride and groom’s talented musical long-time friends. Every moment throughout the day was so incredibly special and filled with the most loving, caring, and festive friends and family members.
This wedding definitely topped our list of all time favorite weddings to plan.
We wish it wasn’t over, but we couldn’t be more proud or happier of the outcome!
Cheers to you, Mr. and Mrs. Kelly! We hope you are having a fabulous honeymoon!
XOXO!
