Today we are thrilled to share this lovely Enchanted Garden Wedding that we’re so honored to have been a part of. While mother nature tried to present us L’s with a challenge, we decided to kick her little fanny to the curb and pulled off a flawless outdoor wedding extravaganza.
Down pours, flooding, road closures, bring it on! You can’t stop Events by L or the amazing team of vendors that we were so fortunate to work. We all have one thing in mind and that is giving you the wedding day you have always dreamed of just like Rosy and Charles.
Don’t show up to your thanksgiving festivities empty-handed. Show appreciation for your host or hostess for inviting you into their home and making a fabulous meal. If you need some suggestions, we have hand selected the top ten hostess gifts that will be a huge hit!
1. Customized napkins are a the way to wow your host/hostess. Personalized linens are a great way to go since they can be used time and time again, and every time you will be thought of highly.
2. Prepared gift baskets full of luxurious goodies will be enjoyed once the party is over. You can have fun putting together a basket full of items that match your hostess’ style. They will be delighted the day after the party when they have a chance to sit and relax, and soak in their new loot.
4. A cake stand is the perfect display for the scrumptious macaroons, or just a sweet addition to any kitchen. Who doesn’t love a beautiful cake stand? We are a bit obsessed with them. 🙂
5. Everyone can use a chic statement piece like the gold-edged porcelain trinket tray. It is timeless, dressed in an elegant Ginko Lattice print. We’ll take one for every room!
6. The Corckcicle is the proper way to keep your wine chilled to it’s optimum temperature so that it maximizes the flavor. That’s a true gift in itself.
7. A bottle of wine is a classic hostess gift, which we love. Your hostess will embrace her bottle paired with a cute little accessory. Throw on one of these tags, or gift them all to be used throughout the holiday season.
8. Another classic but a goodie are flowers. Bouquets need not apply here. Now is not the time to show up with flower that your hostess will need to trim and arrange. That is just going to put more work on an already full plate.
Rather, show up with an arrangement or a faux plant in a gorgeous urn like this one. It would be the perfect complement to an entryway, dining room, well it’d truly be suitable in any room. Black thumbers will rejoice when they receive this gift!
9. A cozy, inviting, and festive throw pillow like the one we found will bring your hostess something to be thankful for. Give us a call if you need help choosing a color. We can help!
10. Let us just say, we love Broste Copenhagen! Inspired by Scandinavian landscapes and emulating a fresh and modern mood, it is the ultimate brand in Scandinavian design. Their use of natural, raw materials and clean shapes, Broste Copenhagen contrast bold nuances to offer a modern interior theme.
What we love the most about these candles is the white powder pressed parchment pillar candle. Rather than simply being printed directly onto the candle, which would mean the pattern would be lost very quickly, the outer design is printed on a special parchment casing which, as the candle burns down, reflects the candlelight through the casing beautifully. Brilliant!
We hope you love all of the items we chose (and feel free to send them our way, wink wink). Cheers to a Happy Thanksgiving!
We hope you have all been having a lovely and relaxing weekend. We have been keeping active as usual, which we embrace. We did however, manage to stop and smell the roses throughout the week and find some fetching items and ideas that we found worthy of sharing with you this week.
Among the laundry list of swell things we have seen and experienced this week, this macaroon tower that Wedding Chicks shared here, on one of their vendor happy hours, is so winsome that it just had to top our list. The colors in these sweet little moments are just precious.
It is by nature that we multitask, so it is only organic that we L’s love things with multiple purposes. Having guests write a date night idea for the bride and groom to select throughout the year is a fun idea to have at your wedding, bridal shower, anniversary parties, or any other event that it would be fitting.
It’s an entertaining idea for the non-traditional couple to use in lieu of a guest book. We fancy the idea of the newlyweds sitting together each month or week, with a nice glass of wine, pulling out an idea for their next date compliments of their guests.
We found the cute sign from FiftySixNorthDesigns here where you can grab yours.
Christmas time is definitely tangible, everyone has Black Friday on the tips of their tongues and gift buying is in the air.
We love this cute little DIY stocking stuffer from Ivy In the Bay. Perfect for all ages to enjoy and appreciate.
We get so excited when the opportunity to plan and design a beautiful dinner party for our clients arises. While there are so many ways to present your guests with the menu they will be delighting in, this is a superb option for even the smallest sized setting. Great idea from our friends at Sacromento Studio!
We are often trying out healthy or skinny alternative recipes to our favorite dishes and thanks to Pinterest we know we are not alone. Here are 100 healthy Thanksgiving recipes from Running To the Kitchen for you to experiment with this year with your family and loved ones.
Now skedaddle and get back to reveling in the rest of your weekend and we look forward to sharing more things we love next week! Any wagers as to whether pumpkin pie will find it’s way on the list?
The holiday season has once again crept up on us and it’s time to get prepared for all of the upcoming holiday parties you will be throwing and attending. Events by L is beyond ready for all of our upcoming corporate and social events and we’ve been having such a fun time putting them together.
We thought we would share some of our favorite holiday ideas so that you can enjoy planning for your festivities too, rather than feel burdened. Today we are sharing some Thanksgiving tips so bring on the turkey!

Don’t you just love watching cooking shows? There is something so euphoric and tranquil about watching someone cook. Our love for it originally came from none other than Julia Child herself, but as television evolved we came to love many others who have followed her, Ina Garten included. We just came across her 10 tips for a Stress-Free Thanksgiving on Good House Keeping and couldn’t agree with her more.
One of her rules is to never, ever test a new recipe on guests. Although it may sound like a no-brianer when it is read, we have a tendency to want to include something extra special to really treat your guests at your event. That special something is typically one that you have not made before. Don’t do it, just don’t! Save yourself the stress of it and go with what you know.
Having festive décor around your home is a must for entertaining. It really gets everyone into the spirit of things, and you don’t have to spend hours to make it happen either.
We fell in love with this beautiful and easy DIY thankful photo board that is worthy of showcasing on Thanksgiving Day as well as throughout the year. Thanks to our friend Whitney at Shanty 2 Chic, you can easily re-create this with her amazing tutorial and free printable letters.
These burlap and glitter place cards from our friend Kelly at Typically Simple are an easy way to make your turkey day table stand out. Guests will love finding their seat with these adorable place cards. What we love about them, aside from how easy they are to make is that you can customize them to fit your table beautifully.
Decide what you can prepare ahead of time and do it. Whether it is putting together dishes in advance so that they are ready to throw in the oven on the day of, or just chopping vegetables prior, do what you can and you will be so thankful you did.
Set the table the day before or more if you are able to. Your guests will arrive and see your beautiful tablescape rather than you running around trying to set up everything.
Happy planning, and we hope you all have a fantastic Thanksgiving!
Well Chicago, this week we have been doing our best to stay indoors and keeping cozy and warm! We have been doing a lot of planning for upcoming corporate events and weddings as well as venue scouting for some of our newest clients. We have been keeping busy and having a blast while doing it!
All work and no play may make Jack a dull boy, but for us L’s our work is sort of our play. If you didn’t know we are very visual beings and we are constantly looking around the web and soaking in all of the inspiration and beauty there is to see. Here are some of our faves that we are loving this week!
Check out the hanging script above the gorgeous lush flowers. This head table is so charming and inviting that we could spend the entire evening cozied up to it.
We love the use of this succulent tied in with the neutral colors of the table setting. It is so simple but looks exquisite. We definitely wouldn’t mind being invited to this dinner party.
Now you might be thinking, OK they are bias and only love this because it is the letter ‘L’ and you would be wrong. The initial cake topper monogram that caught our eye was this letter ‘M’.
While on Etsy we also fell in love with this store where you can order this really adorable Over the Moon and Starstruck in Love custom wedding cake topper. We seriously fell in love with their collection of items they have to offer.
Lastly we found these guys and dolls wedding place cards that are so darn cute, who wouldn’t love them? We have a feeling there will be more items to come from this Etsy shop in the weeks to come.
What things are you loving this week, we’d love to see your top picks!
